About Jim Corbett National Park

Established in 1936 in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, Jim Corbett National Park is the first national park of India. The park is divided into different zones and is home to a large stretch of flora and fauna. First to come under the Project Tiger, the park is famous for having the largest number of Bengal tigers. Rich with beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and grasslands, the national park offers so much for tourists to explore along with night stays inside certain parts of the jungle.

One can explore Nainital, Ramnagar, and nearby temple attractions during the visit to the national park. The temples may include Garjiya Temple, Gujru Garhi, others in Kangra and Almora with huge significant importance. Nainital itself offers a lot of tourist attractions like Eco Cave Park, Snow View, Nainital Lake and a lot more.

Not all the five zones of Jim Corbett remain open throughout the year. Therefore, it's best to travel and explore the five altogether. One can choose to visit any time from December to March as the weather is ideally suitable and there are chances of spotting a Royal Bengal Tiger during this time frame.
