Cradled by the scenic Kumaon hills in the Nainital District, the Siddhi Maa Samadhi Temple sits within Kainchi Dham - an ashram famously named after the sharp hairpin bends of the region. Kainchi Dham houses various dedicated temples inside the ashram namely, Neem Karoli Babaji’s Temple, Vaishno Devi Temple, Shri Ram ji Temple, and the famous Siddhi Maa Samadhi Temple. Kainchi Dham attracts pilgrims from all over the world, including famous personalities like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, who came here seeking the blessings of Neem Karoli Babaji and Siddhi Maa. Kainchi Dham is famous for its serenity and is often referred to as “Spiritual Heaven” by devotees of Baba Neem Karoli ji and Siddhi Maa. Siddhi Maa Samadhi Temple serves as a meditation centre in the Ashram, where it is believed she guides the devotees of Baba Neem Karoli, her guru, to attain his blessings.
Siddhi Maa, whose birth name was Haripriya, was born in Almora in 1928 and became a disciple of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj in the early 60s. From childhood, She was devoted to Lord Ram and Hanumanji. She was often referred to as Goddess “Katyayani” by Baba Neem Karoli himself. After Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj’s Mahasamadhi in the year 1973, she guided devotees, managed ashrams, and became the spiritual mother for thousands. She left her mortal body on 28 December 2017 at Vrindavan. However her Mahasamadhi was established at Kainchi Dham Ashram, where her guru resides immortally. Just as Baba’s presence pervades the ashram, Siddhi Maa’s Samadhi is seen as a continuation of his divine energy.
The Samadhi of Siddhi Maa is located inside Kainchi Dham, which is about 18-20 km from Nainital . The Samadhi is described as a serene, powerful spiritual space where devotees can enter a state of meditation effortlessly.
Kainchi Dham remains open to devotees throughout the year. While the weather is pleasant year-round, making anytime great to visit, the ashram is especially vibrant on 15 June. Every year on this date, a huge fair is organized to celebrate Baba Neem Karoli’s Janmotsav, an event that is immensely popular throughout the region.
In eternal service to her Guru Baba Neem Karoli, Siddhi Maa remains a bridge of grace - blessing all who seek his light with the touch of her spirit.
